5 reasons to book a family session while you’re on vacation

You’ve got it all planned out…you’re going on vacation!  Wohooo baby.  New sights, new sounds, new places, new adventures.  It’s going to be amazing.  And there’s only one thing that could make it even more amazing and memorable.  Booking family photos with me while you’re here visiting Brookings!   Now hear me out, you might be thinking “Nicole, why would I do that, my family all hates photos!”  But I’m here to convince you that your family vacation is actually the perfect time to do photos.  And here is 5 reasons vacation is the right time to book your photos.

  1. You’re going to be somewhere GORGEOUS – Listen if you’re visiting Brookings, Oregon you seriously can’t beat the views here.  We have sooo many incredible options to chose from!  If you love stunning sea stacks, swaying beach grass, and epic sunsets, you’re going to be in love.  I’ll help guide you to just the right spot for your family.  But can you just imagine these photos on your walls at home?  They’ll be a constant reminder of the fun and adventures that you had while visiting.  It will open up conversations about the art hanging on your walls, and bring back constant memories of your trip.
  2. You’re already having fun– I know, I know.  A lot of kids and especially hubby’s don’t really love it when you schedule family photos.  Their minds instantly go to a boring hour of being told to “pose like this” and “say cheese”.  But girl that’s not my style at ALL.  Instead I focus on getting everyone playing, walking and having fun together.  That’s my vibe!  But there won’t be any “stand here and say cheese” kinda moments.  And since you’re already feeling more relaxed while you’re enjoying your vaca, it will be a natural extension of that.  Pinky Promise.
  3. Celebrate the season that you’re in– Vacations are naturally a time where we slow down.  We get a break from driving the kids around to all of their sports and events, and from the laundry, and the dishes, and the every day hustle and bustle.  This is really when it hits us.  We get to soak in the little things that make our kids who they are.  Their tiny toes in the sand, or how they built a driftwood fort at the beach.  Or even just their giggles!  What better time to do family photos than when you’re already embracing the season that your family is in.
  4. An actually meaningful souvenir –  If you opt for photos that means you get to skip the cringy t-shirts and the knick-knacks.  Instead you’ll be bringing home tangible memories of vacation well spent.  And honestly that’s what our kids are going to remember.  Way more than the sand bucket full of toys, they are going to remember the moments with YOU.  Where you wrapped em up in a towel after a freezing dip in the Pacific Ocean.  Or ran and flew a kite together.  Hopefully those moments can include 1 hr of being silly and relaxed together druing our photo shoot.
  5. You’ll get to be IN the photos this time! – Most of our own family vacation photos when I look back I wonder if I was even there.  I mean we probably have a couple selfies where I was holding the phone out awkwardly and like half of my head made it in the picture lol.  But for the most part as moms we are the ones taking the photos (at least the good ones) But that means we don’t get to be IN the photos.  That’s where I come in.  Let me help you remember your time in Brookings with your family.  I promise to get some of just you and the kids, because I know that doesn’t happen nearly as often as dad and the kids.  And we’ll make time for the 2 of you who started it all too <3

Allright, so what’s stopping you!  Let’s get you booked for family photos while you’re visiting Brookings.  I’ve even got a client closet full of beautiful dresses to help you get started with styling.  And if dresses aren’t your thing, no worries.  I even have a super cool software that will help to style the whole family and send you shopping links to help get you started.

WELCOME

I’m a pretty simple gal, I love Jesus, my handsome hubby and my 4 not so tiny kiddos teenagers. I love the beach and feeling the sun on my shoulders and the wind in my hair. I love wild color, and crazy love. I love coffee and bacon and tacos. Tending my garden and chickens feed my soul. If you will let me in, I promise to capture a little part of your one wild and beautiful life, and all the things that make YOU happy.
